Francisco Salgado Zenha (1923–1993) graduated in Law, became known as a lawyer defending political prisoners, and was a co-founder of the PS (Socialist Party). His far-reaching political career spanned Braga’s Municipal Assembly, the Justice and Finance portfolios after the 25 April Revolution, and a candidacy for the Presidency of the Republic.
He was honoured in 2023 at the University of Minho, in a commemorative conference at the School of Law.
